The manufacturing process of cat6 makes them a bit stiffer and thicker. They are still 24g UTP cable just wrapped tighter (hence the extra stiffness) and have an isolator between pairs causing a bit bulkier stature. They can be bent as much/less as any cat 3-6 cable can be so there are no limitations between them.

Do these come in individual bags?

1 bag was received containing 5 bags each bag containing 5 cables. We ordered 5 bags and one of the 5 bags was found to contain only 3 cables. A single bag was refunded. Bag of 3 was returned. A single bag of 5 was ordered and received.

Which TIA wiring standard? T568A or T568B?

Unfortunately, I do not know the standard used. I am using it in my condo, which was built in 2006 and was already wired for a home network. I hope that helps.

Any suggestions on how to shorten a cable and add a connector? The wires will not stay in position and will not straighten. Any suggestions?

You can purchase cables without connectors and install them yourself. Or, you can cut off the existing connector and replace it with a new connector. You will need to know the proper wiring (color coded) pattern for the six tiny wires and have a special tool for crimping the connectors. Unless your connectors don't require a crimping tool and are self crimping. Cat 6 cables are not soft but you may try heating it up a bit with a hairdryer and reshaping it to get the loop out of it.
