This grinding wheel is a useful tool for grinding metal, but not suitable for woodwork. The wheel can take a lot of metal if the volume is small, and if it is attached to a jig it should grind down and make thinner the teeth on a bicycle chain sprocket. However, always look for a properly fitting chain first. The wheel can also sharpen axes and grind screws flush with the wood. It's well-made, with a fine grit that is perfect for many needs, and one customer was very pleased with its size as it's excellent for grinding welds in sheet-metal. However, some customers have noted that the material wears out too quickly around the screw, and the wheel spins on it. Therefore, it is not as durable as other grinding wheels, and may not be as good as basic grinder wheels.
