MJR Tumblers 25 LB Rock Tumbler has been awarded as the best high-end, versatile tumbler with 19 different barrel combinations. While it can be quite noisy, it is suggested to be used in a remote location such as a barn or outside. The base unit can be used for other sizes of barrels and can be used to polish small hand tools with different media for metal cleaning. The interior of the barrel is not made of rubber. The lid has a 6" opening and can fit a few of the largest diameter sized rock with smaller ones to keep it tumbling. The base units are different for smaller tumblers for the distance between rollers to fit smaller barrels, but for the 40 lb capacity, different barrels can be used as long as they're not too small and within weight limits.
