If you are running a 220a alt or below it will be just fine for the big 3. make sure all connections under hood are lug terminals with adhesive lined heat shrink on all connections as well. This goes with OFC and any other wire between that is under the hood or will be exposed to the elements. Copper corrodes albeit slower but it does.. I am going all CCA in my build. I Have 2 320a alts, 90ah cmax, 20K amp(AB not boss watts). Last year I ran CCA no issue on a 370a alt and 4 agms. I had 2 runs from alt to underhood batt, 2 runs from underhood batt to 3 battery bank in trunk then 4 runs going to a 5k from rear batt bank. Terminate your ends properly and run the wire amount accordingly and you wont lose a singe thing and gain money in your pocket. You can run 4 runs OR more for less than a single run of OFC, and people are going to tell me you are losing power?

Amp rating is based on length. Typical 1/0 AWG can handle 300 amperes for 13 feet, or 200 amperes for 22 feet (with a lot of overhead for safety). There are charts where you can look this stuff up.
