Yes, it works. Same converter fits the preppy and the 3776 too.

Does it work with a pilot 74?

Sorry, no. Platinum and Pilot converters aren't interchangeable. The Custom 74 works with the CON-70, CON-50, CON-40 or CON-20 converters, with the CON-70 having the greatest capacity.

Is it compatible with platinum 3776 century model?

Yes, I bought this to put in my platinum century 3776.

What is the converter meant to do?

The converter takes the place of an ink cartridge refill and allows the pen to be filled from an ink bottle. YouTube has many videos which show how to use fountain pen converters but be sure to use a converter designed to fit the brand of pen you have.

Is this manufactured by Platinum?

I believe it is because it comes in a small box marked as platinum. It fit perfectly in my platinum fountain pen.

Will this work with any fountain pens?

No, it was built exclusively for the Platinum Kanazawa fountain pen line. Other pens may or may not use standard international converters, and some are proprietary to their own brand.
