How big is the da vinci watercolor series 510 paint brush, mottler russian blue squirrel hair petit gris pur, size 40?

40 mm wide. 50mm is roughly 2 inches. The size refers to the width in mm.

Does anyone own the 3/0? (I think it is the same as a 000?) I am wondering how useful it is for anything more than fine lines.

The 3/0 is my go-to detail brush. About 4mm belly and holds a point well. Softer and thirstier than any synthetic brush. Plus it’s just darn good looking.

Is the handle brown or black? I’m confused by the description.

Please tell me: what is the meaning of these measures? I can not interpret the dimensions. ex 9.2 x 0.7 x 9.2 inch.....

I think the 9.2 will be the length of the brush, 0.7 is the width of the flat part of the brush part itself. The other 9.2 , I have no clue. You might find the correct dimension on the Da Vinci web site.
