I do not know about replacement...just got it about a month ago. ...I have no problems with ants since I bought an ant gaurd.

Is the plastic part bpa free?

I am not sure. The label should indicate this.

Is this a mess free top fill feeder?

No it isn’t! I love the feeder but it can be a little difficult unscrewing the bottom feeding reservoir. However, i would still buy it again as the feeder itself is very attractive and attracts a lot of hummingbirds. Also, it’s glass so it’s clean up is very easy.

YES! As others have noted, the feeding ports are too large and allow wasps to get to the nectar. It has turned into a wasp attracter and they chase away the hummingbirds. There is no provision for nectar guards.

Does the red bottom open for easy cleaning?

Yes! Love this feeder. I refill every other day because of high temps. Had a plastic feeder last year and it was hard to clean and had to scrub with brush. Glass is much better. I do scrub around flowers and openings.

Can the flowers be replaced by the standard flowers that have smaller holes?

No. These have a different shape.
