Does this Mandrel system eliminate out of round blanks?

Yes, by eliminating the need for a mandrel shaft, the turned barrels will be more precise and eliminate out of round blanks.

It is compatible with #2 Morse taper lathes.

You can turn a two piece pen, however, each piece will have to be turned individually.

All pen styles require different bushings and can be used as long as the inside diameter is 7mm.

One suggestion is to sand the shaft at the groove to prevent the bushing from sticking.

The post on both components is 7/8".

Haven’t experienced this issue.
