This bag is waaaaay too big to go on in the overhead compartment. A typical overhead bag would be a max of 40L. this bag is approximately 150L; almost 4 times the size of a carry on. I’m a 5’11 man and I jokingly fit my entire body in this bag (except my head)!!

Is this bag sturdy enough to check through airport?

It is indeed!! I had 50 lbs of backpacking gear in it and the zippers held up. Great bag for the price.
