Can't really answer your question. If you take yours apart, you should be able to do a visual comparison of the gears. I replaced the whole motor assy. on my Kwikee Revolution stairs. A gear set might have fixed my problem, but I felt that my motor was suspect because it was intermittent.

Is the bushings rubber or hard plastic?

I'm not sure. It's a 2002 Fleetwood boundaries 2 step.
