It is a versatile product that can be used for snacks, sushi, serving food, or for storing little items, and it has a beautiful lacquer shine to it. The dividers are removable, making it suitable for storing different things in them. Although it is not dishwasher safe, it is easy to handwash but it's important to be careful to avoid damaging the crane motif. It's not an airtight box and the lids don’t latch but just fit over the top. It is meant to be wrapped and tied with a Furoshiki cloth to keep it intact. The red color is closer to an orange red, and the box is made of resin plastic. The Jubako box arrived well-packaged and had no scratches or imperfections.
