The bags I purchased were kraft brown. They looked like the same brown as lunch paper bags, or some grocery store paper bags. I use them to package my natural laundry detergent that I make and sell and they are very nice!

Can these be heat sealed?

The bags I received had a liner and I used an impulse sealer to seal them.

Are these kraft paper bags clay lined and compostable, as described? The ones that I received appear to have a plastic lining!

It is known that a plastic alternative can be made from milk and clay to be more environmentally friendly and safe. Contact the manufacturer or seller for a more defined answer. I love these bags.

They have a wax coating on the inside of the bag, that helps lock in moisture and freshness, but you may have to ensure the bag is sealed by using a label or sticker to "lock down" the bag when folded as per FDA regulation
