This Whale BP9013 Gusher Titan Manual Bilge Pump is well designed and Constructed. It can be used to pump water up to a height of over 10' over a hose more than 20' long, so it would make a good manual backup for an electric sump pump. The pump is not self-priming and is not easily serviceable. It has few moving parts and is made from high-quality synthetic materials that do not rust. The pump is reliable, and it can be used as a moderately good backup sump pump.
