The Brush Research FLEX-HONE Cylinder Hone is an excellent choice for refreshing a block, honing out scratches and score marks, and re-honing a cylinder. It comes in a variety of sizes, from 4mm to 14 inches, and has a range of grits from 60 to 600. The silicon carbide abrasive is of high quality, and the honing process is quick and easy, providing a perfect crosshatch. The larger models can be used over a broad area of bores, and they are an improvement over older honing tools. However, some caution must be taken when using this product to ensure the correct size is being used, or it may cause problems.
