How wide is the heel part of the shoe horn?

Regular size - BUT the item is a piece of trash. Softish plastic, wobbly and extremely hard to control. I’d strongly advise against spending money on the item; I threw mine in the garbage.

Does this shoe aid work for a variety of women's shoe styles or just sneakers?

Unfortunately not sure how well it works with variety of shoes. I bought it for my mom who is in her seventies. She only uses it for sneakers—and absolutely loves it. Sturdier plastic than seems online.

Is it curved to fit around the heel?

Yes it does have the appropriate curve for a comfortable fit at the heel.

I would say it would probably work for a variety of shoes, including sneakers. The shoehorn itself is rather bulky, and if your shoe is tight, you may have issues with this shoehorn. The only the nice thing about it is that it comes apart so that you can carry it with you easily, but it also means that you have to put it together and take it apart whenever you take your shoes put your shoes on and take them off. It’s not the best shoehorn that I wouldn’t really recommend it. It’s a space saver to be sure, but not the greatest for use.
