To the Seller, is the review correct, that the volume knob is not a master volume for the sub out?

The knobs, bass/treble/master, controls the Sub completely. Read the sub hook instructions carefully. For my example, Sony CS9 requires both the speaker's wires and amplifier's wires connect to the subwoofer on its back with the amp's sub out cable connecting to sub in. These connections ensure the sub and amp functioning as a whole unit.

Does it read normal usb flash drives like sandisk cruzer 128gb usb 2.0 flash drive?

Yes, it should work. Tested it on a sandisk cruzer glide 64gb usb (2.0? not sure) works fine, not all but most (95%) the other usb drives i've test worked fine. There does seem to be an issue with some drives, like an old PNY drive (16GB USB 2.0) and/or how you format the disk, kinda works but songs will lag and pause for about 5 seconds then continue. I'm not sure if it has problems with the usb hardware version (e.g. 1.0 vs. 2.0 vs. 3.0), or the disk format (FAT vs. FAT32 vs. exFAT, **NTFS does not work**) or the USB disk size (their notes mention supporting up to 32GB). So for now I would recommend usb 3.0 or newer, 32GB, FAT32 format, I have tested all their supported (claimed) music file formats and they seem to work fine. (I mostly just use .mp3)

The bass & treble dials have no level marking so can you tell me: are they 0 to the left and +10 to the right, or, is it 0 straight up (aka 12)?

I assumed 'straight up' was flat, i.e. +/-0db. It sounds good to me that way. Turning them to the left reduces bass/treble. Likewise, turning them to the right increases bass/treble, respectively. Hope this helps :-)

Hello. No, it doesn't support aptx.

Can I connect my blu-ray to this unit and power 2 kicker outdoor speakers?

We have not but the literature suggests 'yes.' You would need an interface to transmit the signal. This thing outputs pretty impressively for its size.

Would it be possible to strap two of these together?

You should ask an expert technician.

If I have three ceiling speakers, can I connect them all to the amplifier?

Hello. It can work with fixed resistance speakers. If your ceiling speakers are fixed voltage, it cannot work.

Can I connect my iPhone or iPod via USB?

I think that USB is for PC, don't think it will work for phones. But it has Bluetooth, so you can play wireless.

Can I use this without connecting to a stereo receiver to run my outside speakers and subwoofer?

Simply, YES! May I suggest that you also consider using a pre-amplifier, it is not needed unless you plan to use a source other than Bluetooth or USB. I hope this helps.
