Measure it with a ruler and test it on a piece of scrap. I do 10 to 12 inch diameter circles all the time.

Does this work with Makita routers?

It does not work with my Dewalt router. It is not even close to fit. Not universal.

Can this cut 18 inch holes?

Yes, it will. Supposed to be able to cut 27" diameter holes.

Is it compatible with Ryobi routers?

You have to drill your own holes for the baseplate. This is designed for a trim router. I use it with a Bosch Colt with a plunge base. I had to drill the baseplate to fit that as well. So as long as you are comfortable drilling the mounting holes in the baseplate, you are OK. It is really durable and easy to set up once it is drilled.

Do you have to use a plunge router for this product?

You can use a plunge router or you can drill a starter hole like you would to use a jigsaw.

What type of bit does this come with? What size is the router bit?

It comes with a 1/4 inch bit. You need to drill your own holes to fit router. No scale to determine circle size. Otherwise, it does the job.
