It comes rolled but because it's rolled so small it gets creases! Maybe they have fixed this prob since my order...

Can you cut it with scissors?

I do not know what a 'pennyboard' is, thus I can not answer. Pieces of the grip tape have been attached to clean, smooth metal surfaces greatly to improve ability to grip same.

Is the gripping material silicon carbide or aluminum oxide (or something else)? Random question, I know.

Why do you insist on folding it and ruining the sheets? Are you simple?

Mine was also 'folded' due to the shipping method. However with careful application and a hair dryer mine turned out perfect. I was worried about 2 or 3 of the bends from the crappy 'roll' job, it was more like folded sand paper. It should be packaged differently, and mine also looked dry like it was an older sheet sitting around for a few years, yet the Grip tape is holding well.

I only put it on the grip, for which it worked fine. I have a Glock 26 and never had a problem with the slide. I just needed a little help with the two finger handle.

Will this be a good option for handguns, or is it too abrasive on skin?

80 grit is normal for use on competition handguns so this should be fine if that's your intended use. For concealed carry applications I find this stuff tends to tear up clothing so rubberized grip tape/panels are better. For open carry, 80 grit is still my preferred grip treatment.
