I purchased additional complete valves, I had 1 float fill up w/water. I then took the float off & replaced it keeping the valve for future. Maybe you can squeeze the bad float & find the hole, then make a hole with a safety pin on the opposite end, that will let air in and not create a vacuum. Use clear PVC cleaner where the holes are then use PVC multi-purpose cement/glue. Let it dry overnight, then submerge in water & check for leaks. ALL SET

Is this for 1/4 in tubing?

I believe they are for 1/2” line.

Do these have flow restrictors? Why does it take 14 minutes to fill 5 gallon bucket with 400 gph water pump?

They work off of a needle valve design. The lower the float, the more water. As it goes up, the flow is restricted.

Is this three float units or is it one unit with three pieces?

I received 3 floats with valves.

What is the 1/2" thread type? NPT, British threads or what?

NPT...but use some teflon tape as insurance.

What size hole saw or drill bit is needed for installation?

I used a 1" hole saw and it worked great.
