No our formula is not a sustained release. Our fish oil is enteric coated and absorbs more slowly but our turmeric is actually designed to absorb quickly.

Is this difficult on a sensitive stomach and how easily is it absorbed?

I don't have a sensitive stomach so I can't answer that. Nor can I tell you if it's easily absorbed. Every body is different. What I can tell you is that this works for me. I've incorporated Astaxanthin with Dr. Olivia's Tumeric. This are the only two anti-inflammatories I need. I am totally pain free from my RA. And, my gluten sensitivities have improved. I can now have some gluten once a week without any side effects.
