It would probably block rain from draining off to the outside, unless the floor was sloped a lot.

The bristles come off this thing quite easily. Has anyone had this installed for a long period of time? How did the bristles hold up after use?

Try applying some CA glue to the top edge and spray some activator to quickly cure the glue.

If we trim to 30 inches wide, will the holes line up?

It is very easy to drill new holes wherever you need them, you may be able to trim a bit off of each end and have the holes match up if that would be to your choice.

The brush portion of the sweep is 1 inch wide.

Installing on an interior door for noise reduction. Has anyone tried installing on both the inner and outer sides of the door?

Should be no problem - make sure the brush has flush on either side. Noise reduction? I doubt that this will be very effective.

I’m looking for this for a bedroom door. Can I find it 30 inches wide?

I got them 36 its easy to cut them to your size.

Does this item leave a sweep arc on hardwood over time?

The bristles are soft so if it is mounted properly, it should not mark the floor. I do not suggest that the installation results in a bend in the bristles that would wear the finish from a hardwood floor.

Answer : The bent edge is against door.
