The SOMADA 34-Inch x 12-Inch Auger Drill Bit is a great tool for drilling holes in wood, plastic, drywall and composite materials. It is designed with a hex shank 38-inch which is less than 11/32" and can be used with an adjustable chuck of a drill. However, it doesn't properly fit any standard hex adapter, which can be a major inconvenience. This drill bit has been tested on various materials and it performed well on soft and hardwood, pressure-treated wood and even concrete, but it got hot quickly. It is a heavy-duty tool and works well for killing tree stumps, but it takes a lot of working for deep stumps like holly. The drill's design bores a nice deep hole, but the threaded pilot tip creates problems when used in a drill press.
