Question : Is this product non GMO?
Answer : Far as I know I believe the 95 plus Organic cert. is actually better than the standard USDA Organic label which is something like 70% or better of the product is Organic while the rest is Non-GMO. Very FEW products quality at the 95 plus Organic label if it's the federal label I think it is.
Question : How long does it stay fresh and effective?
Answer : I keep mine in the fridge. It stays fresh indefinitely this way.
Question : The product description reads '95 percent plus organic'.... what is the other 5% and where does it come from?
Answer : In order to qualify for the USDA Organic Shield: USDA organic products have strict production and labeling requirements, and organic products must meet the following requirements: * Produced without excluded methods,(e.g., genetic engineering), ionizing radiation, or sewage sludge. Policy on genetically modified organisms* Produced per the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List).* Overseen by a USDA National Organic Program-authorized certifying agent, following all USDA organic regulations. I am not sure how the material coming from Sri Lanka meets these standards, however. The product description on Amazon says 100% Organic.

Answer : Turmeric, especially the stuff sold as a spice in tiny bottles, typically contains 2 or 3% curcumin. Frontier guarantees that their organic turmeric has 4.5 or 5% curcumin. I would trust them more than the spice makers who sell those tiny bottles at $5 or $6 for two ounces.

Answer : It is not irradiated very fresh flavor
Question : Does this have 95% curcuminoids?
Answer : Saw previous answer & I'm a TUG(Tumeric user group) member too. I may be wrong but I thought it contained 5% curcumin as 95% is too strong for the body to absorb. Hence the reason most of the Tumeric pills on the market are not beneficial. This is one of the main brands recommended by TUG to make the golden paste.
