No, the tc2012 is an inverter charger, this remote will not work. You need part 809-0921 Schneider Electric control panel for your unit. Amazon sells it.

If you are not getting any reaction from the charger when you activate the remote (and the charger itself works fine) my first thought is you have a defective remote. My inclination is that Xantrex has very good customer support and can probably help you.

If you have the 808-8040-00 remote panel, you will need to upgrade to the 808-8040-01. The -00 will not work.

Yes. That is what it's designed for. It works very well. The remote also allows you to equalize the batteries from the remote
