Does this work on canvas?

I have not tried it on canvas. On a dark color i would say no. It works on wood great. Not much help, sorry.

To a certain extent. Press very, very lightly. You don’t need to use much pressure at all. You can use the same sheet over and over again.

Does it work on glass?

No you will need a waxed based paper or design under glass and trace it

Does it smudge on light surfaces?

It does not smudge on light surfaces... I used it on a white canvas to trace a picture.

Can this be used to transfer sewing patterns to material?

Probably would work but might not wash out. Try on a scrap of fabric first. Could only be used on medium and light colored fabrics.

Does it work well for transferring the sketches to cold pressed watercolor paper?

I am not sure. I used the paper to transfer a handwritten recipe on to a plate. Not sure about your application. Good luck!
