Yes 1000ft is our small roll and weight is around 15 pounds. The standard roll size is typically 4000ft and weighs around 60 pounds.

I need to go fron this to a standard gatden hose fitting. Will a regular 5/8in "hose mend" fitting work or do I need a special fitting?

You will need to use a female hose x tape loc fittings for this connection. TL-FHS-06-LS

SPF63813.2-1210 it says .20 gph is that per dripper or per 100 ft ...if its per 100 ft that would be 1 gallon on 500 feet of tape

0.20 GPH is per dripper so for every 100ft this is 20 GPH or 0.34 GPM.

I have a 1/2 inch netafim system that i purchased 10+ years ago. i cannot find 1/2 inch drip tape anywhere. would 5/8 inch work for this system?

I would think what you are calling 1/2" is truly 5/8" as 5/8" is the most common size used. Measure your tape laying flat and it should be just under 1" in width.
