I am not sure since I always power down between shore and Generator. I can tell you so far this transfer switch has performed very well and was easy to install.

Could I wire shore to the backup, and inverter to the primary and then it only use inverter when shore is lost?

Your inverter should not be constantly powered until you turn it on manually requiring inverting 12volt dc to 110v ac.

I have a Travato that hums when plugged in. I was told it is the transfer switch making mist of the hum. Will your unit work and also not hum?

Our unit should not hum at all, there could be a connection issue if there is humming.
