I changed this part out but now my fuel gauge is not working has anyone had this issue?

I installed the pump only to discover the fuel gauge didn’t work. I took the pump back out to inspect it and found the contact at the end of the float was cracked. I can’t return it because I had it too long before I had a chance to install it. I’m going to switch the floats with my old pump.

Installed now truck wont run, also a pain to prime?

It’s possible that your lift pump could be bad if it’s never been replaced! An you can crack ur fuel lines coming off your motor not all at same time numbers 1,3,5 one been in front 5 in the back very back to check an see if your pump u just replaced is pumping to lift pump an if lift pump is pushing up to injection pump which would then cycle to where u have it cracked open on the motor

Will this fit a 98 dodge 3500 with vin d 12 valve cummins?

Sorry that this item fits 24 Valve not 12 valve.
