The Global Caché IP2IR-P iTach TCPIP to IR Converter with Power Over Ethernet PoE is a USA-made device that connects infrared control devices to a wired connection. It can be used with Global Cache's iLearn utility and comes with three IR emitters. The advantage of PoE over standard offerings is that it makes installation and management easier for commercial installations. However, for simple/home installations where the A/V equipment and power are easily accessible, PoE may be more trouble than it's worth and more expensive. There are several applications that work with Global Cache, including Touchsquid, which allows you to set up all your equipment with the appropriate IR codes. The device does not have Bluetooth function and only accepts 24V PoE.
