The Aladdin Skimmer Weir is a necessary component for any pool owner looking to keep debris out of their pool. It is very easy to install, taking only a few minutes to position it in the entrance to the skimmer with pins. The tension rod and spring inside are all plastic, and everything can be trimmed to fit for skimmer openings that aren't 5-1/4" x 8-3/8". The weir door allows water to flow into the skimmer while keeping debris out when the pump shuts off to prevent backflow. It has garnered mixed reception and criticisms for false advertisement, misrepresentation of products and rusting of springs. It is a bit expensive for what it is, but it is still affordable.
