Question : Can you use any polish for stamping, or does it have to be ones made specifically for stamping?
Answer : Not really just a thick polish would be good like Sally Hansen or some of the Essie brands work well. Other special brands would be Kleancolor it's not really for stamping but it is a All Time Favorite of mine. Hope that helps. Happy stamping!
Question : Does the item come with an stamper?
Answer : No. You need to buy stampers separately. My favorite is the monocle stamper from Maniology 💖💖💖 This plate is very good on it's own though.
Question : Does this have 2 sides or one?
Answer : No just one sided

Question : How does the water marbling effect work on these plates? I know what water marbling is, just don't understand how you do it with these plates?
Answer : This plate just gives you the design of water marbling without having to struggle with the water. It is very simple to use this plate.
Question : This doesn't come with the stamper. So, what stamper do you recommend? I've never done stamping.
Answer : Since you're new to stamping, I would recommend a squishy, sticky stamper because they pick up the image so easily. Of course there are name brand stampers like the Clear Jelly Stamper or the Born Pretty clear stamper, but there's an inexpensive 3 pack of clear stampers from a company called Ejiubas that you can buy right here on Amazon that are perfect for beginners. They're comparable to the name brand but much less expensive, and since you get 3 you can experiment with them until you find what works best for you. I personally prefer to prime my stampers before using them, but when I was just beginning I couldn't bring myself try various priming methods on an expensive new stamper and risk ruining it. The 3 pack is perfect in that scenario. I also love the big marshmallow stamper from Winstonia. It's much squishier than the clear jelly variety and very sticky, perfect for someone just learning. And you can enlarge or shrink images with it! My last suggestion would be to get a firm, more rigid stamper like the original double-ended Konad. Some images with really fine details just won't work with anything else no matter what you do. But you'll learn as you go, just keep practicing!
Question : Does the scraper and the stamper come with item? Or is it only the plates?
Answer : No stamper or scraper, just the plate.
Question : Can I use it with a gel polish? Like trugel uv polish brand
Answer : Yes I stamp over my gel polish all the time and then seal with my gel top coat and cure. I haven't had much luck actually stamping with the gel polish itself. I just use whatever stamping polish I have over the gel color. You will probably need to clean your nails with whatever gel cleaner you use before you stamp or it may not work. Good luck!!!
Question : Has ANYONE had success using Gel polish for the actual Stamping part?
Answer : The short answer is no. Gel polish is terrible for stamping for a number of reasons. The longer answer is....Since gel polish doesn't begin drying at all until its put under a lamp, and because it naturally starts to smooth itself out as it finds its level, just getting it to pick up well on the stamper is a frustrating exercise in futility. As soon as you scrape it its starts beading up and trying to pull itself back together like the T-1000 from Terminator 2. And since its still liquid all the excess polish on the plate in the blank areas outside the design, that usually dries out instantly and stays on the plate, gets picked up on the stamp along with the design.Even if you somehow find a work around and manage to get a good clean stamp on to your nail, the T-1000 beading and pulling together begins again. That makes any design with lots of detail and fine lines start to just look like tiny little beaded lines on your nails. Using simple designs with thicker lines and less detailing can be used to try to work around the problem, but the end result is still so vague and sloppy looking that you'll wish you'd never messed with it at all. This article: http://www.manictalons.com/2013/12/an-experiment-can-you-stamp-with-gel.html?m=1....Really shows what I'm talking about, and also touches on some of the work arounds people have tried using to make gel stamping work. Unfortunately, they barely work. In my humble opinion, the best use of gel polish in a stamping manicure is as the base color. Once set, the gel polish won't budge until you either spend 30+ minutes soaking ot off or use a nail drill to file the polish away. Then you can fiddle around with the stamping polish and remove any mistakes with regular nail polish remover; it wipes the regular polish right off but leaves the gel as strong and shiny as ever. Sorry for the super long novel I just wrote for an answer! But I want to save everyone all the time and hassle I went through trying to make gel stamping work. It doesn't work, people! But there's a company developing a gel stamping polsih that could revolutionize the stamping industry, and so far have been very promising. I hope all this helps!
Question : Do these come in 2 pieces?
Answer : No the picture shows the back of the plate and the other picture shows the designs on the front of the plate. The plate comes in a nice sleeve with a window on the front.
