It is a portable that sucks the particles into a cartridge. They will not come into contact with the working parts of the vacuum. It should be fine. You will need to replace the cartridge when full.

According to the manufacturer there are two versions of the Green Supreme:1. If it has a black stretch hose, then it is ESD safe. 2. If it has a clear hose, then it is not ESD safe. The units sold from BuyMBS.com are included with the black, ESD safe hose.

I ordered one about two months ago and mine was new and in unused condition. It works perfectly and I’m happy with it.

The electrical cord would be 6 feet.
