This book on the history of US capitalism is a page-turner, with a sense of suspense that makes it easy to read. The author uses cute stories to explain each chapter with a main theme of innovation or product that drove the economy and the Prosperity of the country. The first 75% of the book is informative and enjoyable, but the last quarter of the book could be uneventful for someone already knowledgeable about the current state of capitalism. The book tells stories in a non-boring way and would make an excellent US history text. Overall, the book is well-written, interesting and a great read even for someone uninterested in economics.
